Yarn Ball Christmas Tree

This incredible yarn Christmas tree was inspired by a larger tree in Macy’s at Thanksgiving.  My sister Paula, the crocheter, wanted to replicate it in smaller versions to place around her house.  I think it came out spectacular!

Materials:

• Several different color yarn
• Cone
• 2-3 different size smooth foam balls;  depending on the size/height of your cone, you will have to choose the size of the smooth foam balls to use.  Keep in mind that the balls will become larger as you add the yarn.
• Base (I used a cardboard cake base).
• Tacky glue
• Hot glue gun

How To:

Rub tacky glue around ball and wrap each with yarn. Hot glue gun balls to cone starting from base and working up. Fill holes with smaller yarn balls.
